Be a David, not a Goldilocks
Remember the story of Goldilocks and the three bears? To her, Papa Bear's porridge was too hot, Mama Bear's too cold, but Baby Bear's was just right.
When difficulties arise, do we act like Goldilocks, deciding that some problems are just too trivial to bother to pray about, while others can't be met through prayer? Are we waiting for some nice medium-sized challenge, one "just right"? Perhaps we prefer one we deem important enough to warrant prayerful attention, but not so big it might demand too much spiritual growth.
The Bible counsels us to "pray without ceasing." I Thess. 5:17. This statement makes no differentiation as to the size of a problem. There's no better time than right now to learn that we are God-equipped to be consistent and constant in effectual prayer.
