Spirit's timeless dimension
Man's eternal, spiritual being exists now. It always has existed now.
A profound concept, not easily grasped by the human mind. To this so-called mind, truth seems theoretical, impractical. Yet we truly begin to understand our genuine identity by discovering that man didn't begin years ago—or for that matter, eons ago. Man coexists with God. And God's being isn't made of a long past, a distant future; it is the constant unfoldment of ideas in the eternal present.
Man is idea. He is the spiritual representation of Mind, Spirit. Man's pure, individual identity is substantial, permanent, complete. These facts, when understood in Christian Science, have major significance—healing implications—for the homemaker who feels bored with a life of washing dishes, buying the groceries, rushing the children off to a softball game; they are important to the harried business person who is frustrated with the challenges of labor problems, profit margins, unpredictable suppliers; they are crucial to the sick and the sinner.
