FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Jenny, gymnastics, and grace

Has anyone ever called you a klutz? Well, that happened to Jenny. When they called her a klutz, people meant that she was awkward, careless, and even accident-prone. This bothered Jenny very much, and she wished she could do something about it.

She and her mother often talked together and read articles from the Christian Science Sentinel that were especially for children. Jenny had her own Bible and Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, and she studied the Lesson-Sermon. She liked to attend the Christian Science Sunday School, too.

Jenny also had a physical problem that was quite ugly and bothered her. She had many warts on her otherwise very pretty hands. Once when she was staying with relatives they insisted that she do something about the warts, and they gave her some medication to use. She was obedient, but she could see that it did no good at all. Besides, she really did want to rely on Christian Science for healing.
