For twenty-one years Christian Science has given me a life full of love, direction, happiness, understanding, and healing—all through my reliance on God.
One healing that has deepened my knowledge of God and this Science occurred two years ago while I was a sophomore at college. After finishing classes one day, I decided to clean out my fishbowl. As I held the bowl and scooped the fish out, the bowl suddenly shattered in my hands. The fish were thrown to the floor, and glass cut one of my fingers.
Hearing the noise, others in the dorm rushed into the bathroom. The manager of the dormitory felt it was necessary that I go to the emergency hospital to have stitches and a shot. As I'd never been in a hospital and with my family one hundred miles away, it was easy to feel frightened.
