Immanuel
Draw nigh to God, and he
will draw nigh to you
(James 4:8)
We learn that God is always near;
how then can we draw nearer?
Not that our divine Parent
plays frivolous games of
I-will-if-you-will
with His loved children,
but that often we may feel the need
to know more surely the never-separation,
the always-oneness
with our Father-Mother God.
Then, to draw close in thought
is to listen and hear
that God is near
and we are dear.
