I have gone to the Christian Science Sunday School since I was two years old. My grandmother reads to me from the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and we also read stories for children together out of the Sentinel.
One time, my grandmother was reading about Noah and the ark, and I was lying down beside her when the big, heavy, glass hanging lamp fell out of the ceiling onto my bed. I had just moved when the lamp crashed on the bed where my head had been.
At first I was frightened, but then I knew that God had protected me, and so I was grateful. I felt safe—like Noah did in the ark—because no bad or scary thoughts could seep in.
