Christian Science has changed my life since I began its study and application two years ago. I have gained a better understanding of God, immortal Love, and of man as His likeness. Equally important, this divine Science has revealed to me the illusory, unrealistic nature of all that is unlike the creator, including disease, sin, and mortality.

The writings of Mrs. Eddy are priceless. In reading them I have learned of the divine authority to accomplish healing; this healing is available to all who are earnestly seeking an understanding of God, the one Mind. While I was growing up, my family, though not churchgoers, fostered many Christian values in me, such as brotherly love, fairness, honesty, and respect for every individual. The chapter entitled "Prayer" in Mrs. Eddy's book Science and Health has made me realize that the Science of being is not a set of blind beliefs or good intentions. Rather it is eminently practical as the revelation of divine Truth, the way to freedom from all forms of suffering, which Christ Jesus demonstrated twenty centuries ago.

As I've placed less thought on the body or material conditions and exercised more effort toward contemplating and demonstrating the spiritual truths of God and man found in the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, a greater feeling of peace and fulfillment than I've ever known has come to me. As Mrs. Eddy states (Science and Health, p. 15): "Self-forgetfulness, purity, and affection are constant prayers. Practice not profession, understanding not belief, gain the ear and right hand of omnipotence and they assuredly call down infinite blessings."
