"Error's voice sounds awfully loud today"
I moaned,
covering my mental ears
to dim the din—
a futile pose, as it turned out.
Then a simple Hold it! sounded,
referee's whistle:

"Loud" is not synonymous with "so";
you know
that truth can penetrate the most bombastic lie
with absolute authority's quiet Word.
And at that very moment—
it did.
