A well-loved passage from the Bible tells us (Joel 2:25), "I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten." Through the study and application of Christian Science I have had many practical proofs of this dynamic promise.

In a step-by-step process of spiritual unfoldment, I have come to learn that while God does not necessarily restore to us an exact human replica of what we appear to have lost—home, business, position, loved ones, and so on—an understanding of God through Christian Science does restore to us the eternal, ever-present, spiritual nature of these. This, in turn, results in a better human outward manifestation of all good.

In a long and sometimes unpleasant litigation over some valuable business property, I had to learn what Mrs. Eddy states in Science and Health (p. 368): "The greatest wrong is but a supposititious opposite of the highest right." I didn't see this all at once, but years later I realized, "Why, this wrong was never real. The highest and fullest right is all there has ever been. As God's reflection I have never experienced anything but the highest right. Not another moment can be wasted looking back on nothing." Through prayer, another home, business, and income in abundance were restored to me, which proved that God's law is supreme. I will never forget the untiring support given me by Christian Science practitioners at different times during this growing experience. My life took on a whole new zest for spiritual adventure.
