Which way should we go?
It's a frequent question asked alike about trifles and earthshaking matters. Not knowing the right direction may be mildly frustrating or have far-reaching consequences.
Christ Jesus gave this clarification to a confused follower: "I am the way, the truth, and the life." John 14:6; In so saying he made clear that we can find within the Christ, the unchanging idea of God, a constant, unerring sense of direction.
A regular study of the Nazarene's teachings under the light Christian Science throws on them—and a thoughtful striving to express his spirit and follow his example—help us to understand his way. We find occasion in even the smallest experience to ask ourselves, Which way would the Master take? The spiritual laws Jesus lived by are the same today. The better we understand these laws, the more quickly we find the Christ way in every situation. These laws are not something external to man; they are the very laws of scientific, spiritual being.
