Affirming Mind the source of intelligence results in scholarship
In Australia, free secondary education is available in government high schools, but these may not always offer the range of subjects a student wishes to take. Some private schools offer more diverse courses of study, but they sometimes require application years in advance because of the number of students competing for the limited space.
My name was too far down the waiting list of applicants for one particular school, and it appeared that the only way I could gain admission to this or any of the other schools I was interested in was through a scholarship. An examination was to be given to determine which students the scholarships would be awarded to, so my mother entered my name for this examination, and we decided to approach the problem from a spiritually scientific point of view.
I understood God to be Mind, the source of all intelligence. Man, made in God's image, reflects this intelligence, which is unlimited. I also knew that man expresses the calm and serenity of Soul, which is another synonym for God, so I could not in reality be nervous or tense. And I continued work to know man's true place is permanently established in God's kingdom.
