About twenty years ago I suffered for some time from painful abscesses in both ears. Medical treatment had brought me no relief. Finally I accepted the advice of a relative and turned to Christian Science. At the very moment I decided to contact a Christian Science practitioner, something snapped in the ear that was currently affected, the abscess drained, and the condition never recurred.
To be sure, I carried out my intention to visit the practitioner—no longer on account of my ears but because a solution was needed for a distressing relationship problem. I had listened to erroneous suggestions for a long time. Now I had to learn to listen to God—to accept His plan, and this brought harmony and peace to all concerned. There were great blessings, and I often felt the loving care of our Father-Mother God.
