Don't let the static fool you!
Andy's mom stopped the car for a red light. Suddenly seven-year-old Andy noticed the gentle FM music on the car radio was gone, replaced by a noisy jumble of sounds.
"Mom, maybe you'd better twist the dial to get the station again. This new station sounds awful."
His mother smiled over at Andy. "Don't let the static fool you. That's not another radio station—just noisy static from another car's engine, interfering with this station's broadcast."
