Loving the family
Success in solving family problems depends upon how thoroughly we relinquish merely human ways and means and turn resolutely to God, divine Love. Generally we need to wrestle with an untrue concept of self before pride and fear surrender and our view of relationships yields to the divine.
"God is the creator of man, and, the divine Principle of man remaining perfect, the divine idea or reflection, man, remains perfect." Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 470; This explication of man's true heritage is given in the Christian Science textbook by Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered and founded Christian Science, and thousands of authenticated healings have been accomplished through the understanding that God is the only creator—the only governor of man.
Christ Jesus gave us direction in understanding family ties. When his mother, finding him in the temple, asked him why he had caused her to worry and search for him, he said, "Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" Luke 2:49; Recognizing God, Spirit, as the Father of all, he placed family ties in their proper perspective.
