Christian Science was introduced to us at a time when we...
Christian Science was introduced to us at a time when we were moving from one suburb to another, and needed a new church home. Also, our eldest son was having difficulty with a hip joint and would need an operation in a few weeks time. We took the three children to the Christian Science Sunday School, then to a different neighborhood church each Sunday, until our three-year-old told us he was tired of going to so many different Sunday Schools. He wanted to go to the first one all the time. The others agreed, so we started attending the Church of Christ, Scientist, and enrolled the children in the Sunday School. This came about as a result of our talking with a Christian Science practitioner, although no specific prayerful treatment was given. The child was so receptive to the truths and accepted so sincerely what she told him of God that the healing took place. He also had some wonderful conversations with his Sunday School teacher that meant much to him.
