I want to express gratitude for Mrs. Eddy and for a lifetime in Christian Science. I attended a wonderful Sunday School and have had many beautiful experiences and blessings. I am also grateful for my family, who encouraged and aided me along the way.

One Saturday my husband, some friends, and I went horseback riding at a nearby stable. We were all looking forward to a happy afternoon of fun. None of us were really experienced riders. The stable owner told me my horse was in foal and skittish. When another rider galloped up behind for a race, in the commotion I fell out of the saddle.

As I lay in the brush I was in much pain and was unable to move. My husband, who is not a Christian Scientist, saw the riderless horse and came to my side. I began to recite the twenty-third Psalm and the Lord's Prayer over and over. The pain eased a little. I was lifted on a board and into our station wagon. Our friends insisted on driving me to the hospital, predicting dire consequences. I finally convinced them to take me to our apartment.
