I am fourteen years old and have been going to a Christian Science Sunday School all of my life. I would like to take this opportunity to tell of a recent healing I have had in Christian Science. A few months ago I was swimming at a motel where we were staying. After a while one of my ears started to bother me a little, but I thought nothing of it at first, hoping the pain would go away. Soon it got a lot worse, and I decided to go inside and rest for a while.

Later, while I was resting, I was thinking about the lesson on "Spirit" from the week before [in the Christian Science Quarterly ]. I remembered the first citation of the Responsive Reading, Isaiah 48:16, "Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning." With this, I recognized God's healing presence and found that when I listened, patiently, I felt nothing but peace and comfort, with no room for pain. I went to sleep for the night; and the next morning when I was reading the lesson I noticed that there was no more pain in my ear.

I am very grateful for this healing. It is just one of the many ways that Christian Science has helped me. I find this truth especially helpful in doing my schoolwork, and doing it well.
