Walk Softly over the Earth
The day before he was crucified Christ Jesus said to his disciples, "I have overcome the world." John 16:33; And Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health, "Christian Science reveals a necessity for overcoming the world, the flesh, and evil, and thus destroying all error." Science and Health, p. 10;
What is it we must overcome? Is it the beauty, the gentleness and joy, the good we find in our world along with its evil? Isn't it rather the whole sense of something other than God, other than Love's omnipresence—the mortal, material thinking that is always separate from Him?
