Healing
Healing. That is what Christian Science has always meant to me, and although I have many healings to be thankful for, there is one that will always be very special to me.
When I was three years old, I started wearing glasses for a condition in one eye that was termed "lazy." Today, at age twenty, in my junior year in college, I am finally free from the limitations set on me.
As a theater major at college I have often had to go without glasses for long stretches of time in order to portray a character on stage accurately. I was always relieved to be able to put them back on after a rehearsal, as my vision was blurred without them. One afternoon during rehearsal my glasses were damaged. A friend tried to repair them, but for some reason I still couldn't see out of them once the lenses were replaced.
