Science Is Still Enthroned
Often when we apply the metaphysical truths of Christian Science to claims of disease, healing comes quickly; we have recognized and opened our thought to some aspect of Truth, and Truth's omnipotence and omnipresence have at once become clear to us.
On other occasions, however, it may seem more difficult to shake off trouble. Then we may think, or say to a practitioner or friend, "Although I have been applying the truth of being as best I know how, the problem is still pestering me."
The need in such a case is to take the "still" from the problem and apply it to the truth of being. No matter what discord seems apparent to the physical senses or to the material nervous system, the unchanging fact is that all that really has existence is Spirit and its perfect manifestation. This is still the actual situation no matter what arguments mortal mind (the source of the belief that good comes and goes or is nonexistent) would impress on us. Having many times proved this, Mrs. Eddy asserts, "Undisturbed amid the jarring testimony of the material senses, Science, still enthroned, is unfolding to mortals the immutable, harmonious, divine Principle, —is unfolding Life and the universe, ever present and eternal."
