Ye stand this day (Deut. 29:10)
Here Moses is pictured addressing his assembled nation (in Moab, east of the Jordan), declaring to them their covenant, or agreement, with the Lord their God to obey His laws and receive His care. In this promise those who are present bind any absent members of the community (v. 15). Now Joshua is to take over, and continue the trusting spirit of Moses' leadership (31:7).
To whom then will ye liken God? (Isa. 40:18)
