I have been fortunate to have known Christian Science since childhood, and to learn the many blessings this can bring. I have seen how this wonderful religion is an ever-present help in all our activities, including family, school, and business relationships.

The most outstanding proof of the healing power of Christian Science in my experience occurred a few years ago. I was struggling with a physical problem which was not diagnosed, but the symptoms included recurring fever and dizziness. The attacks occurred regularly each night, and did not at first respond to my prayerful work or that of a devoted practitioner.

Each night my fears and doubts were dispelled by one of the messages of truth given by the practitioner on the telephone, and I was able to get through the night with a few hours' sleep, only to have the problem recur the next night. After more than two months of this struggle I appeared to be getting worse and began experiencing attacks during the day. I lost considerable time from my work and was tempted at one point to have the condition diagnosed by a physician. The practitioner showed me clearly that this could not help but would only increase my false belief and fear that the disease was real and powerful.
