To Heal Strained Relationships

All of us are faced daily with problems of human relationships. How we deal with them determines the harmony of much of our experience.

The real man—the identity of ourselves and all others—is the spiritual idea of Mind, God. Reflecting the divine nature, man is harmless, harmonious, pure, and loving. Formed in God's very image and likeness, he is God-caused, God-governed, God-inspired. He is always in his right relationship with his fellowman. Through the prayer of affirming spiritual truth, we can align our lives with our true identity as man.

In word and deed Jesus presented this man, the perfect image and likeness of God. He manifested the harmony of God and proved it possible for each of us to do the same. He constantly turned mankind's thought toward the eternal power of God as the continuing source of man's goodness and happiness. He said, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24; Of Christ Jesus Mary Baker Eddy writes, "With Christ, Life was not merely a sense of existence, but a sense of might and ability to subdue material conditions." Unity of Good, p. 42;
