Get Through to the Tripper
Most of us would agree that no one needs mind-expanding drugs to enrich his experience. But what should we do if we learn that a young person we care about is experimenting with drugs? Is there some way to get through to the tripper?
Christian Science shows us that a problem should first be dealt with in our own thinking. As a teacher on the college level, I have found, through applying this Science, that there are several essential steps in communicating with a drug user.
First, we need to approach the situation without fear. We can realize that God, omnipotent good, is actually always caring for all His children, including the young person involved. He is continually imparting constructive, inspiring ideas to all His creation. He is the source of the wisdom with which one can recognize that a habit is unwise, and in Him originates the strength with which he can overcome this habit.
