The Christian Science Board of Directors has appointed Frances C. Carlson as Publishers' Agent. All details involved in publishing Mrs. Eddy's works come under the Publishers' Agent—from the development of translated manuscripts through production, distribution, advertising, promotion, and sales of these writings.

Miss Carlson received the appointment following thirty years of service in her department during which she has worked under six Publishers' Agents in virtually all areas of the department's operations. She became Manager of the Service Department in 1949; Manager of Service and Sales in 1965; Assistant to the Publishers' Agent for Administration in 1969; and Manager of the Marketing Division and Assistant to the Publishers' Agent in 1971.
