In early childhood I was healed of a congenital heart condition within a year after treatment was begun by a Christian Science practitioner. Three years later I took a physical examination required for attendance at a summer camp, and there was no trace of the problem, nor has there ever been since. So-called childhood diseases were quickly healed or avoided entirely through radical reliance on God's healing truth.

I entered the Christian Science Sunday School at the age of five and early learned to apply its teachings. When I entered high school in a town some distance from home, pursuit of this demonstrable Science helped me to overcome false traits of character such as oversensitivity and shyness. Mentally I progressed from a rather confused and nervous pupil to graduate second in my class. All things were worked out through prayer to God.

At one time it seemed as though I would have to have glasses for reading. This need was met with the wise guidance of a Christian Science practitioner, who helped me uncover a tendency to criticize the dress and mannerisms of my fellow students. I then determined to see only the man of God's creating, and as I tried to practice this consistently, the need for glasses disappeared.
