I thank God with all my heart for leading me to Christian Science.

Forty-seven years ago doctors treated me for diabetes, arthritis, heart trouble, and liver and stomach disorders. The help of one doctor after another was sought, but no improvement resulted. I was in extreme physical discomfort and mental distress. It was only with a very great effort that I was able to keep at my work. An insurance company refused to give me a small life insurance policy because of my condition. This added to my discouragement.

At this time one of my customers, a fine woman, told me about Christian Science. In my ignorance I asked her, "What can Christian Science do for me that the doctors cannot do?" Her confident reply, "With God all things are possible" (Matt. 19:26), started me thinking. However, for a while longer I still kept seeking medical help, until one doctor finally told me there was absolutely nothing else he or any other doctor could do for me. But he added a very important remark. He said, "Only God can help you." Then I remembered Christian Science and asked him his opinion of it. His reply was, "Christian Science will do what the doctors cannot do. God will heal you."
