Christian Science came to me through my husband, who brought the literature home from a woman employer. My first reading in the periodicals was of the testimonies of healing, and it brought strong disgust to think anyone could believe such healing came about without material help. But my husband continued to bring the literature home, and I continued reading it, until I saw the truth in what I read.

I would like to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science, Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and especially for Mrs. Eddy, whose consecrated life led to the founding of this wonderful healing religion.

I would like to tell of overcoming death. This experience occurred in the fall of 1948. As I was passing into the valley of death following the birth of our twin daughters, I held to the truth that God is my Life, and as I passed into the terrible blackness, suddenly it seemed that a great light shined all about me, a much brighter light than human eye has ever seen, and this message came clearly to my thought: "You are all right now." I was brought back from death but I failed to accept the "now" of the message, so my complete healing was delayed until I grew into a better understanding of the complete message, and of God's unfailing law of harmony.
