About eleven years ago I had a growth on my neck
About eleven years ago I had a growth on my neck. I was a student of Christian Science, and asked for help from a practitioner but did not want to think about or discuss my fear of cancer. As there was no improvement and my husband's promotion required my meeting many new people, I had the growth removed by minor surgery.
The doctor who performed the surgery said it was cancer. He said that three consulting doctors advised further surgery. The doctor speaking to me said he felt that if the condition had spread it was too late. With this information, I left the doctor's office.
After leaving the doctor's office my fear was intensified to such an extent that I asked for treatment from a teacher of Christian Science, who lovingly worked to help me overcome fear of the spread or recurrence of cancer, fear of death, self-pity, and many other false beliefs.
