I came into Christian Science many years ago seeking a better understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him. Even though I had a religious background and had attended an orthodox Sunday School and church from very early childhood, there were many things I could not understand or accept.

Since taking up the study of Christian Science I have had healings and blessings of various kinds. One recent healing I would like to share came through a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. A testifier told of the healing of his eyes. This opened my thought to the spiritual meaning of eyes, and many angel thoughts came flowing into my consciousness. One such thought stood out.

Mrs. Eddy gives us a clear understanding of "eyes" in the definition on page 586 of Science and Health: "Spiritual discernment, —not material but mental.
