After writing a testimony, which appeared in the May 1, 1965, Sentinel, I began to look forward to writing another testimony. Sharing the good news of Christian Science healing is to me one of the most joyous privileges that one can have.
Christian Science healed me of a gum disease, complicated by sinus problems, which threatened the loss of my teeth. A milepost along the way of this healing, which was gradual, was the following experience.
One morning several years ago I awoke with greatly swollen gums. I began to pray, not for physical healing but for more spiritual sense. I felt a mental dullness, an unawareness of God, Soul. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. 209), "Spiritual sense is a conscious, constant capacity to understand God."
