"IN ALL GENERATIONS"
"Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations." Ps. 90:1.
When familiar landmarks tremble and certainties grow few,
These words of the Psalmist bring us quiet assurance
That God, who was God of our fathers, is God of our children, too.
"Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations."
Whether our children's children walk on the moon or on Mars,
God who is Love awaits them, Love's law is there to preserve them,
Guarding, guiding, sustaining, out to the uttermost stars.
"Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations."
Not from physical urges, not through a chemical code,
Not by selective process of mortal propagation,
But straight from eternal Spirit our inheritance has flowed.
