I first learned about Christian Science when I was six years old.
I first learned about Christian Science when I was six years old. My grandmother was given up by the doctors and told she had just a few months to live. She then became interested in Christian Science and was healed, so that she was able to travel around the country by herself and visit her married children. She was with us until I was a young man in high school.
My mother turned to Christian Science after Grandmother's healing, and we learned to look to God for our help and for healing. Our family moved frequently while I was growing up, and some of the towns where we lived did not have a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, but I did have an opportunity to attend a Christian Science Sunday School for two or three years.
