Christian Science is the only religion I have known. My parents took up its study after I was instantaneously healed of diphtheria at the age of four. Through its application, sometimes with help of a practitioner and sometimes through our own prayerful work, our family of six experienced healings of scarlet fever, so-called children's diseases, effects of accidents, blood poisoning, and many other physical problems. The understanding of God as the all-knowing Mind was a great help to me in school, especially during examinations.

I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her vision, unselfishness, and courage in giving this truth to the world and in establishing the periodicals as one of the avenues through which its message reaches mankind.

Many times the inspiration gained from an article or testimony in one of the periodicals has helped me in solving some problem. At one time a severe sore throat was completely healed while I was reading an editorial in The Christian Science Journal. A sentence from the religious article on The Home Forum page of The Christian Science Monitor, bringing out the thought that to see another as the perfect child of God, therefore good, is to love, was the answer I had been seeking to free me from unhappiness in a relationship problem.
