Church Dedications
Paltna Ceia-MacDill News February 2, 1967
Dedication services of Third Church of Christ, Scientist, 3616 Bay to Bay Boulevard, will be held Sunday, February 5th, at 11 a.m. and at 3:30 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend.
In the Fall of 1956, a group of Christian Scientists began meeting in their homes to consider the formation of a church organization to serve the Palma Ceia area. On Sunday, April 7, 1957, the first public service was held in a rented store building at the corner of Barcelona and MacDill Avenue. In December, 1957, this group was recognized as a Christian Science Society by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ. Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
