The Song of Celestial Being

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, refers to Jesus' lifework in these words: "His mission was to reveal the Science of celestial being, to prove what God is and what He does for man." Science and Health, p. 26; What a joy-lighted thought is this: that here and now we can learn and prove this Science of celestial being!

We have all probably had experiences when we have said within ourselves, "This is heaven." In the freshness and tranquility of the breaking day or on a quite ordinary occasion when something good has happened, suddenly we have become aware of the presence of God.

Often in our hours of communion with God some angel message comes to us, and its touch awakens in our hearts a song of pure joy with no earthly note. The heavens seem to open and bring to us an awareness of the primeval facts of being, of the eternal, unbroken harmony of God and man, as "when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy." Job 38:7; In the morning light of Truth we know that this is a present state of consciousness, a primeval song of joy which never ceases.
