Rosemary and the Shadows
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Rosemary and Betty were close friends. Five days a week they sat side by side in their classroom. On Sunday, though, Rosemary went to a Christian Science Sunday School, while Betty went to a Sunday School of another denomination. The girls were very happy about their record at school. So far neither had missed a day in the fourth grade. Thus it was, when Betty's parents had to go away on a business trip, that Rosemary invited her little friend to spend the night with her so she would not miss school.
When Betty had gone home, Rosemary turned to her mother. "I just wish she'd go to our Sunday School." she said longingly.
"It would be nice," replied her mother, "but why do you wish it especially now?"
