After about ten years of faithful study and the application of Christian Science, as far as I understood it, the happiness of membership in The Mother Church has come to me. My desire now is to express gratitude by sending this written testimony, that it may be of help to others.

It was not for physical healing for myself that I was first attracted to Christian Science, but in the interests of a crippled brother who was being treated by a Christian Science student, and whose medicine bottles I was only too glad to throw out of the window, together with my own prejudice and ridicule.

Being persuaded to read the Christian Science literature, I found in it the solution of a big heartache and the removal of deep confusion, caused by a death which, to me, was past comprehension. The logic of Christian Science compelled me to accept and love it, and helped me to overcome bitterness and a sense of despair and helplessness; but "the vital part, the heart and soul of Christian Science," which Mrs. Eddy says "is Love" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 113), takes me long to learn, and to practice scientifically.
