When Christian Science was presented to me I was in a very serious condition as the result of tuberculosis and throat trouble. The winters were a constant dread, as each one meant two or more attacks of tonsillitis, varied by occasional attacks of quinsy and grippe, together with other physical troubles from which I was never free. In fact, it seemed as if there was scarcely a sound organ in my body. My healing came as a result of the understanding gained through the study of a Christian Science article, and has been permanent.

Another healing, which I should like to mention, occurred about eight years ago. A very painful condition of the head and ears developed quite suddenly, and after a week of extreme suffering I decided to ask for help, as my own efforts to overcome the difficulty seemed unavailing. I shall never cease to be grateful for the love and patience of the practitioner during the following ten days of pain and struggle. At the end of that time the pain lessened and I was able to rest, but was unable to hear. After a few days spent in total deafness, this condition too was overcome, and I have had no further trouble.

While the physical healing means much to me, I am more grateful to Christian Science for having given me a practical religion, one that gives a definite rule for the solution of every problem that may arise in our daily experience. During the past twenty years I have found that these rules never fail to replace discord with harmony, just in the degree that they are understandingly applied.
