Letters from the Field

"The following is written with a heart full of love and gratitude, and because I couldn't leave without putting down in black and white at least part of what I think of the Sanatorium of The Christian Science Benevolent Association. I say 'part,' for I never could express all my loving thoughts about it.

"When I came here in December I was blue; no need to go into details, but sufficient to say that I was discouraged over many things and didn't know which way to turn. The first impression of the place was wonderful to me, and I don't mind admitting that the first night I wept through absolute relief and gratitude that there was such a place as this, realizing how, doubtless, many others had felt and would feel as I did.

"My stay here has been the most remarkable experience which ever came into my life, and I have been helped so wonderfully in understanding Christian Science through seeing it demonstrated by every one here. It is not hard to know 'God is love' when finding so much reflected; and it is beautiful to notice how each one connected with the Sanatorium of The Christian Science Benevolent Association seems in his right place and working to bring out the best,—all good.
