It is six years since I took up the study of Christian Science
It is six years since I took up the study of Christian Science. Previous to this I was a semi-invalid, and never knew what it was to be well for a day. I had taken medicine nearly all my life but was not benefited, in fact the doctors did not know what was the matter with me. I did not take up Christian Science because I believed in it, but to please a sister who wanted me to take up the study with her. I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, but could not understand much of what I was reading, but that which convinced me that it is the truth was an instantaneous healing of a muscular trouble of the eyes, which I had had since a child and from which I had suffered a great deal; in fact I could not get glasses dark enough to wear. I was healed on my way to church one Sunday morning, and I have never had any trouble with my eyes since. I was healed one winter of an attack of rheumatism through my own understanding of Christian Science. Ill effects from a number of accidents, the grip, and sick headaches have all been overcome.
I am very grateful for what Christian Science has done for me, and for the periodicals. The articles and testimonies help me in solving my various problems.
