I have experienced so many proofs of the power of Truth that I would indeed be ungrateful not to give thanks for what Christian Science has done for me and mine. I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing; it was brought to me by a dear sister in an hour of need, when there seemed no ray of light and the deepest sorrow and despair would soon have overwhelmed me. I can safely say to those who are in need of help that there is no condition, however hopeless it may seem, that cannot be healed through Christian Science. This teaching has brought to me the peace "which passeth all understanding." When a loved brother passed from our sight, the thought of God as the only Life destroyed the sense of separation which otherwise would have been unbearable; and when my husband, who was not a Scientist, passed on last fall, I was wonderfully sustained and comforted. I cannot find words to express my gratitude to our beloved Leader for teaching us to know that divine Love does bind up the broken-hearted and comfort them that mourn.

Since coming into the understanding of Christian Science many ills have been overcome, among them organic bowel trouble of more than twenty years' standing, stomach disorder, and neuralgic headaches. My daughter, now sixteen years of age, has not tasted medicine since she was three years old. She has been healed of infantile paralysis, intermittent fever, and almost all the ills that children are believed to be heir to. She is a regular attendant of the Christian Science Sunday school, and since a small child has been able to work out her own little problems, besides making many beautiful demonstrations for others.

For all these blessings I am deeply grateful, but even more so for the understanding of divine Principle, for the spiritual regeneration, and for a better understanding of the Bible, which has destroyed the sense of fear, worry, and a tendency to criticize, teaching me to love my neighbor as myself, and bringing peace and harmony into my home. Christian Science helps me to know each day that the promises of our dear Master are for us here and now, and that as we put our understanding into practice in our every-day life, they are fulfilled. Thus I have reason to be grateful for all the gates that lead to the city that "lieth foursquare." I am deeply thankful to God, who is our guide, protector, counselor, and friend.
