In the comments on the essays of the Rev. Mr. Hopkinson, re mental healing, I notice a quotation is made intimating that thinking men and women are ready to recognize much truth is Christian Science, but they cannot fall down and worship Mrs. Eddy. May I refute the insinuation contained therein, and say that no Christian Scientist ever thinks of worshiping Mrs. Eddy, neither do the writings of Mrs. Eddy justify such an imputation.

It is futile to remark that Mrs. Eddy as a leader of thought was a "back number," when her teachings as set forth in the text-book of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," have revolutionized the whole world's thinking. The Christian Science movement, which is increasing according to statistics at the rate of one hundred and two churches per annum, is not an indication of any "back number" leader of thought. Thinking men and women are indeed recognizing much truth in Christian Science, and Mrs. Eddy's work for mankind is being appreciated.
