Two years ago last September I went to a Christian Science practitioner, full of trouble, anxiety, and grief. I seemed to have the most relentless enemies and was blinded to all that was good by anger and hatred. This dear lady was gentle and loving, and by reading to me from Science and Health and other beautiful writings by Mrs. Eddy, she helped me to understand and love the Bible, to have charity towards my neighbor, and to trust God in all things. Now I have learned the lesson. as dear Mrs. Eddy teaches, that "I have no enemies" (Miscellaneous Writings, P: 10); and I have peace, rest, and happiness in helping those who are in sorrow and trouble. I am grateful to God, and to our dear Leader for what Christian Science has done for me and for the world.
