Letters to our Leader

New York, July 27, 1904.

My dear Mrs. Eddy:—In reading the last Sentinel containing letters to you I thought of those who never write to you and yet are "living epistles" of the truth you teach. I knew one who demonstrated this Christian Science, and I never heard him mention your name but twice, yet he loved and revered you (so do I, but I am not worthy).

I asked this man, after seeing the wonderful works that he did, and the still more wonderful change in his character, "Where did you get this?" and he answered: "I read Science and Health for two years." He was never tired and the good that he did lives after him. The people who came under his care know from his demonstration of the teachings of Science and Health that it is true. Such men (may the lord of the vineyard send more of them) help to have your noble character and your selfless work appreciated at their true value. Sincerely yours,
F. S. Bellevue.
