The Basis of Healing

Findlay (O.) Republican

To the Editor.

In your issue of the 16th inst., you published a communication on Christian Science, from the pen of Rev. Charles H. Hoot of Toledo, who said that he "sought divine assistance and inspiration to expose the errors advocated by the deluded teachers of this sect."

Christian Scientists do not advocate error of any kind. They heal and teach according to the strict rules of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." The ability to do this is not obtained without many years of consecrated living, honesty and purity of thought, and a literal as well as a spiritual imitation of the life of our Saviour. Jesus said, "By their fruits ye shall know them."
