"Shall Christian Scientists be Persecuted?"
The Los Angeles (Cal.) Express
To the Editor.
Some months ago an article with the above or a similar heading appeared in The Express.
As it was from the pen of a member of the Christian Science Church, and may be regarded as somewhat prejudiced, I have thought it may not be out of place to have a few lines from an orthodox standpoint. I am a member of one of the leading orthodox churches, and have been for nearly forty years, but believe that any one who professes to be a true follower of Christ, under whatever name, should be tolerant, and so love his fellow-men, of whatever creed or sect, as to be able to tell the truth about them, and in the absence of the facts from which to make his statements, hold his peace.
