Man's Extremity is God's Opportunity
I first heard of Christian Science nine years ago. For ten years prior to that time my principal article of diet was medicine, believing the more I took and the more disagreeable it was to take, the sooner desirable results would be obtained, but I was sadly disappointed.
I continued to grow worse, suffering constantly, both physically and mentally. I often asked God to restore me to health, and failing to have my petition granted, would pray to be relieved of my suffering through death, and could not help wondering what kind of a God we had that would ignore both of my requests, and allow me to continue to suffer as I did. During the ten years I was sick I gave twenty different physicians a trial, besides many different kinds of patent medicines.
One day it occurred to me that I had been doctoring all these years, not knowing what ailed me, so concluded to spend a day visiting with the M. D. s. and ascertain, if possible, the cause of my sickness.
