Development
The watchword of the universe is progress. Development without, development within, is God's eternal law. To those blest spirits who have outgrown lower types of thought, who soar to realms of pure intelligence whence they may view creation's symmetry, life is an ecstsy of joy. Their souls attuned to the celestial harmonies, they hear the songs of angel choirs, and echo happily the glad refrain of "God is Good." To every immortal soul belongs the tendency to onward, upward growth towards infinite perfection, towards apprehension of that All-Intelligence, at once All-Goodness and All-Truth. And ever, as the soul develops to its fuller powers, it more and more conceive:the perfect goodness of One, and sees that goodness shown in spirit man, as well as every pictured thought throughout the universe. C.
The Morning Star asks: "Is it right to judge a man by the worst that is in him? Take men at their best and you will make them better and be better yourself."
Some one says: "The only divinely justifiable war is when a man goes to battle with himself. Then are fired the guns whose sounds the devil hates and fears."
