A world startled and dazedBy ravages of man-evolved decree,Believing woes and tyrannies to beAn inescapable tribulationTo be borne,With short-time consolationIn its fleeting joys—Is this to be accepted?

The world is freshand new to open eyes.

UNFOLDMENT

To thought listening in stillness,Waiting, poised in expectation,Thought maturing, larger, deeper,By God's gracious preparation,Comes a dawning, surer senseOf divine omnipotence.
